Jose Adam Perez Nieto, 46, turned himself in at the Prince William Police Department following an investigation into alleged sexual assaults that happened across several areas in Woodbridge between December 2009 and March 2021.

An investigation was launched by the department on Thursday, Aug. 25 after the allegations were made and Nieto was in custody on Sunday, Aug. 28, according to police.

The initial investigation determined that Neto’s alleged victim, who was between 6 and 16 years old during the time of the offenses, was sexually assaulted by a family member later identified as Nieto.

According to police, the abuse happened on more than one occasion during the near 11 years, and while investigators were looking into that case, a second alleged teen assault victim came forward claiming that she also was sexually assaulted at times in Woodbridge.

“The victims recently reported the incidents, prompting the police investigation,” authorities said. “Following the investigation, detectives obtained arrest warrants for (Nieto).”

Perez Nieto was arrested and charged with:

  • Two counts of rape;
  • Three counts of aggravated sexual battery;
  • Forcible sodomy.

He is being held without bond. His court date is pending.
